Viral Claim Links Epstein to 2008 Powerball Jackpot

Last July, an ex-Atlantic City Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino manager confirmed he had seen President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein together at the casino property, accompanied by underage girls.

Epstein’s connection with the gambling world, apparently, went even further. The disturbing Epstein Files revealed an email from an investigative journalist to retracted recipients that offered details on how the controversial magnate and pedophile allegedly won a Powerball jackpot.

Now, a controversial X post that has already gathered millions of views alleges that, on July 2, 2008, Epstein won an $85 million Powerball jackpot.

The Zorro Trust Name Controversy

The winning Powerball numbers that day were 4, 33, 46, 48, 52, with 17 as the red Powerball, and a jackpot set to $85 million. The winning ticket was sold in Oklahoma and featured a one-time cash option of $41.3 million

The claim of the X account that brought back the lottery win rumour about the controversial and now-deceased offender was verified by Grok, the AI-powered assistant created by xAI, to review the claims.

Grok eventually confirmed that the Zorro Trust had claimed the $85 million jackpot as a lump-sum payout of roughly $29.3 after taxes from the July 2 draw in 2008, on a ticket that was purchased in Altus, Oklahoma

The name of the trust, claims Grok, matches the name of Epstein’s trust connected to his New Mexico-based Zorro Ranch. According to the Epstein files released by the Department of Justice, “Zorro Trust (belonging to Epstein)” had won the jackpot, Grok added.

The AI assistance also confirmed that, at the time, lottery officials followed the standard procedure, allowing anonymity through the establishment of trusts. Also, no fraud was proven, the social media platform’s AI assistant added.

“The Name Was Pure Coincidence”

Brice Gordon, who was Epstein’s ranch manager, was allegedly the trustee of the trust and also the one who inked the papers needed to claim the payout, but this claim has not been officially confirmed.

Even more controversial, another Grok prompt asking the AI assistant the number of times that Estein had won the lottery issued a conflicting answer. Grok said Epstein had never won the lottery.

While the Oklahoma Powerball jackpot in 2008 was claimed by a Zorro Trust to preserve anonymity, local reports at the time said the winner was a grocery store worker based in Altus. The winner, apparently, had named her trust the same way as Epstein’s Zorro entity for his New Mexico ranch.

“Same name was pure coincidence. Recent file mentions are unverified notes, not proof. No wins on record.”

Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in Stanley was located more than 400 miles away from Altus. New Mexico has been a Powerball participant since 1996.
