Lucky Day Lotto Jackpot Worth $1.15M Drops Again

The small town of Harvard in Illinois has produced its latest lottery winner, with someone scooping $1.15 million from the Lucky Day Lotto game just recently.

The evening drawing for the game on Saturday, February 21, produced the latest seven-figure winner, having people guessing who that may be.

Small Town of Harvard, Illinois, Produces One of Its Biggest Lottery Winners

However, the lottery has graciously released details about where the ticket was purchased, pinning the location as Chemung Country Store at 24102 IL Route 173

Whoever won used the following numbers: 2, 15, 28, 31, and 43. While the winner is not yet known, the store’s co-owner, Mark Smith, was happy to share in the joy of having his shop sell the big winner:

“Our store has been a staple of the community for over 38 years. Our customer base is largely made up of loyal, local customers, so we’re all hoping the winner is one of our regulars.”

Naturally, Smith is also happy about the shop getting a piece of the pie, a bonus calculated on the value of the total prize, or in this case, $11,500. Smith also admitted that this had been the largest winner the shop has seen in its history.

As to what to do with the money, the owner actually has a few ideas and intends to plow most of it back into the shop:

“We’ll put most of it back into operations and improvements, but we also plan to reward our staff in recognition of their dedication and excellent customer service,” Smith added happily.

This is not the first time Illinois has produced a big-time winner. There have been quite a few seven-figure prizes handed out to lottery players in the state. A pair of co-workers, for example, managed to win and split a $350,000 prize earlier in February.

They too won on the Lucky Day Lotto game, fetching a respectable prize and divvying up the spoils.
