One lucky Florida resident had his life changed when he secured the $1,000,000 payout from a scratch-off game – GOLD RUSH LEGACY – off a $20 ticket he had purchased at an Orlando gas station.
The win will have a life-altering effect for Rafael Arciniegas Rosario, 59, and while the man missed out on the big prize – $10 million – he secured one of the 20 available $1-million pots instead.
While his win was publicized only recently, the man received the prize on December 10, 2025, and he opted for the lump sum payment option, which placed his net prize at $640,000, still a very respectable amount.
Just recently, a Mega Millions player won a $4 million jackpot from a draw in early February.
Yet, this is hardly all, as there have been a series of similar big wins in Florida alone. A scratch-off ticket by a 58-year-old player at the turn of the year secured the top prize of $5 million for the $5,000,000 CA$H MONEY game, with the player opting for the lump sum here as well – $3.05 million.
