Florida Lottery Ticket Wins $2M in Time for Valentine’s Day

The Powerball did not drop last week, but this makes little difference to one lucky winner who scooped a $2-million payout in time for Valentine’s Day

The player, who bought their ticket in Florida, missed the $142.3 million prize pool, clawing a bite of it instead, with a seven figure consolatory win instead.

Not much information has been released about the winning ticket, nor where it has been purchased. Nobody won the jackpot on Saturday, February 14; the winning numbers were 23, 43, 58, 60, and 64. The Powerball was 24, and the Power Play multiplier was 2x.

This means that players have another opportunity to try and win today, Monday, February 16. All Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, with qualifying tickets accepted by the 9:45 pm cut-off.

Valentine’s Day is not the Only Time Jackpots Drop from the Powerball

The Powerball ticket costs $2 to play, but the odds are rather steep – 1 in 292,201,338. The Valentine’s Day win is not the only good story around, though. Another winner scooped a win from the Powerball on Friday, February 13.

The lucky North Carolina-based player won $1 million playing the game, although he missed out on the big win as well.
At the beginning of February, three different tickets claimed various prizes from the Powerball, but none hit the coveted jackpot – about $83 millooon at the time of the drawing.
