A lottery ticket sold in Berks County has turned its owner into a millionaire, after the Pennsylvania Lottery confirmed that the lucky soul had won the $2.5-million top prize.
The ticket was bought for the $120,000,000 Payout lottery game and has not yet been claimed, but the lottery has hurried to share details, helping the potential winner not miss out on the grand prize.
The venue that sold the ticket is the Redner’s Quick Shoppe at 8381 Allentown Pike, Maidencreek Township, which is also going to get the customary bonus for selling the ticket – $10,000 in this case.
In the meantime, the player, whoever they may be, need not hurry much as scratch-off lottery tickets have a one-year expiry date, meaning that the lucky player may spend some time familiarizing themselves with how to best their money.
The lottery advises that anyone who holds a winning ticket, particularly for such large amounts, should immediately place it somewhere safe. In the meantime, the game itself offers a total of top grand prizes worth $2,500,000 each.
Players who wish to give it a shot would need to spend $30 for a single ticket.
